We based all of our recipes in the world's different cultures, ingredients and ways of cooking. We are based in beautiful Portugal, in the Iberian Peninsula, and we chose Germany, a powerhouse of sustainable foods as a country to produce Aruba Pet Nutrition recipes. Our love for our cats and dogs comes in many different ways and each day we realize more and more how these animals make part of our family. Ingredient Analysis
✿ Goose
• Goose is a great alternative to other more common poultry like turkey and chicken and it’s also quite flavorful. It’s officially a white meat despite its dark coloring. It provides a great source of minerals like copper, iron, phosphorus, selenium, and zinc.
• Goose is an excellent dietary protein. It’s high on glycine which improves overall skin health and fights joint diseases.

✿ Broccoli
• Broccoli is a cruciferous vegetable related to cabbage, kale and cauliflower. It’s high in nutrients including fiber, vitamin C, vitamin K, iron, and potassium. It also boasts more protein than most other vegetables. • • • • Broccoli's high in plant compounds associated with health benefits like sulforaphane.
• In addition to being a low-calorie food, broccoli is also a great source of roughage (commonly called fibre) that helps to improve digestive health.
• Its vitamin K content promotes strong bones and is a great boost for puppies and kittens. The sulphur-containing compounds in broccoli have also been shown to help fight cancer development.

✿ Topinambur
• Topinambur (also known as Jerusalem Artichoke) is a species of sunflower native to eastern North America. It’s low in fat a good source of nutrients, particularly iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, inulin, niacin, thiamine, folate and vitamins C and K.
• Thiamine and potassium promote good muscle function and a healthy nervous system.
• Being rich in iron, topinambur is also very helpful for red blood cell production, while its inulin content promotes digestive health. Additionally, there’s also been reported as a great fighter against bad cholesterol and high triglycerides.

 Red berries
• Red berries are loaded with antioxidants are very low in calories and fat and are among the healthiest fruits on the planet.
• Red berries a good source of fiber and Vitamins A, C, E, and K. This group of berries includes blueberries, raspberries, red currants, blackberries, strawberries and cranberries.
• Red berries are rich in fibre and antioxidants such as anthocyanins, ellagic acid, and resveratrol. Besides protecting your pet’s cells, these plant compounds help reduce disease risk and oxidative stress.
• Red berries a good source of fibre as well, as they slow down the movement of food through the digestive tract – thus reducing hunger and helping in weight management as well. Red berries also have strong anti-inflammatory properties and help stabilize blood sugar levels and insulin response.

✿ Chia
• Chia is an edible seed from the desert plant Salvia hispanica, grown originally in Mexico. Actually, the meaning behind its name is quite enlightening as to its beneficial properties: it means “strength”.
• Chia is an energy booster and contains healthy Omega-3 fatty acids, carbohydrates, protein, fibre, antioxidants, and calcium.
• Chia seeds are also hydrophilic: they contain a high amount of mucilage that allows them to absorb water and form a gel in the stomach that slows down the conversion of carbohydrates into sugar.
• Chia’s high protein profile makes them essential for tissue & muscle building functions and it also has a reducing effect on the appetite, which is incredibly beneficial for overweight pets. Since they’re highly absorbent, they also help in keeping their body hydrated as well.
• Chia is also very rich in Omega-3 which helps repair damaged tissue and restore flexibility in the cell membranes, and also promotes heart health, efficient digestion, and bone strength.

 Salmon oil
• Salmon oil, like regular fish oil, is high in Omega-3 fatty acids. The primary Omega-3 fats found in salmon oil are eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).

✿ Coconut oil
• Coconut oil is extracted from mature coconuts and takes the form of an edible oil that can and should be used in human and pet food. It is a source of saturated fatty acids, most of which are Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs).
• In addition to being an excellent energy source, coconut oil has also been shown to improve skin and coat, improve digestion and reduce skin conditions and allergic reactions.
• Furthermore, its fatty acids are incredibly helpful in cognitive function. According to many studies, coconut oil may also be beneficial for preventing pest infections and for treating bites.

✿ Ascophyllum nodosum
• Ascophyllum nodosum also known as egg-wrack, is a brown seaweed that can grow up to 2 metres long and that can be found mainly in the North Atlantic. It’s most notable as a source of micronutrients, including over 60 minerals.
• The combination of minerals and trace elements in Ascophyllum nodosum is incredibly useful to promote oral health and to prevent plaque. Its fibre, insoluble and resolute, acts as a brush cleaning up the stomach from bacteria, while also working as an anti-inflammatory.
